Conversation Club Leeds
Overview
Conversation Club Leeds is a place where asylum seekers and refugees can meet, socialise and practise speaking English.
The original Conversation Club ran in Leeds City Centre at Mill Hill Chapel from May 2016 to March 2020, when it had to temporarily close due to Covid-19.
We have recently opened our doors again and we now have two venues:
– The Holbeck Working Men’s Club, Jenkinson Lawn, LS 11 9QX on Tuesdays from 1:30 to 3: 30 pm
– Mill Hill Chapel (in the church), City Square, LS1 5EB, on Thursdays from 1:30 to 3:30pm.
We welcome asylum seekers and refugees who want to meet other people, make friends and improve their English.
We don’t have formal English lessons, but we have a great team of friendly English native speakers waiting to chat to you in English – talking with native speakers is a great way to practise and improve your English level.
Drop in to see us any Tuesday or Thursday – you will get a warm welcome!
