People who move to the UK need English language skills to access training, gain employment and participate in society. Enabling new arrivals and longer-term residents to fulfil their potential is fundamental: migrants bring with them valuable abilities, qualifications and experience which can lie untapped unless they have the chance to learn English to an appropriate level. The way that this is achieved is through English language provision known as ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). It can be very difficult to find information about ESOL classes. This website helps by listing all English language education providers and their classes in Yorkshire & the Humber, for anyone who wants to learn English and anyone who is helping them. The website was developed by the Migrant English Support Hub (MESH). MESH is a charity dedicated to supporting adult migrant language learners in the Yorkshire & Humber region.
