ESOL: around South Yorkshire
New English as a second language (ESOL) Service: starting in in community hubs around South Yorkshire
Learn English reading, writing, speaking and listening. Includes language and skills required for everyday life, work, and citizenship. Starting this June.
If you want to get better at speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English, come along for a chat to see if this is the right course for you.
Assessment will take place dates from last week of May to Mid June
Qualifications: from Entry 1 to Level 2. Certificate

Who can use the service?
- For South Yorkshire residents this service is free (until July 2023)
- For West Yorkshire residents this service is free if you are unemployed, or your gross annual salary is less than £21,255.
And you are a:
- British citizen
- EEA national or resident in one of the British Overseas Territories or crown dependencies (channel island/ isle of man) for the past 3 years.
- If you are, or you are the spouse of, an asylum seeker (and been in the country for a minimum of 6 months), refugee, or have humanitarian protection, or discretionary / exceptional / indefinite leave to remain, live outside the rules of section 67, Calais leave to remain, local Afghan staff, or on the Ukrainian resettlement scheme.
