During this course you will become well equipped in all aspects of:
- Using devices
- Creating and editing digital media
- Using technology to communicate
- Buying and transacting online
- How to stay safe and secure when using technology
Various start dates
You should be studying at English at Entry 3 or higher so that you understand the language used during the course. You should have some understanding of how to use a computer and mobile device.
You will be invited for an interview with the tutor to make sure this is the right course for you. You will do a pre-entry assessment so the tutor can understand what level you are working at.
If you successfully complete the Entry 3 qualification, you can enroll onto the Level 1 course. You may be able to do a higher level IT course within the college.
This qualification may also help with finding employment. This will be discussed with the Adult Progression Officer.
The qualification is assessed through one online exam where you will be expected to work independently. There is a question paper and an observed activity.
You will use the same computers that you practiced with during class.
