Wider Learning Opportunity
Take your first steps into a rewarding career in care with our care training programme
Our borough’s brilliant care workers truly change the lives of the people they care for and their families. They make sure our communities can continue living happy, healthy lives. They help to make sure they can keep doing the things they love for years to come. Our new care training programme is here to help you take your first steps into a rewarding career in the area. If you want a new challenge, love helping others and want to work in care, this could be the perfect chance for you. Our four-week training programme will teach you everything you need to know about working in care. We’ll give you all the tools you need to get started. After a few weeks of teaching, you’ll come away with the skills and knowledge you need to start in one of Barnsley’s varied health and care roles. From here, we’ll link you with local employers to help you find the perfect job for you. We’ll continue to support you to take your first steps into our caring workforce. We’ll give you application advice, interview tips and extra training over the next six months. Our next training course will run from Monday 26 June.
