Goodwin Development Trust, Two Way Street ESOL & Employability Programme

DO YOU WANT TO LEARN ENGLISH at GOODWIN DEVELOPMENT TRUST – We provide ESOL sessions for anyone from a BAME/ Refugee background aged 16 plus, based in the Thornton Village Hall , Walker Street Hull .

We have a dedicated ESOL Teacher who delivers English Speaking and conversation sessions in a welcoming and comfortable environment and supports the preparation for Exams, we also have a dedicated Teaching assistant to assist the Teacher with the delivery off the programme.

Along side this we offer Learn my way, digital Inclusion, ICT Support, housing Support and much more.

We offer a variety of other projects such as, Work Placements, Employability, games design and music Lab ( Please contact Kerrie for more details) .

We have highly trained staff and a safe space, where people can come and talk about any problems or feelings they may be struggling with, all Staff are friendly, considerate, approachable and understanding of the needs and requirements of all the students.

We deliver ESOL / Employability sessions Every Monday and Thursday – 09.45am to 3pm and one one sessions should this be required, we are also a rolling Programme all year round.

On a Friday we also offer the food Pantry at a cost to join of £ 2 to join, this is held at the Octagon Walker Street 10-12pm and most recently we opened our first Fare share shop at our fare share warehouse on Bergen Way Sutton Fields where it is open to the public every Wednesday, just a small cost is required to join.
