Opportunity at Good Chance Theatre, Sheffield

A brilliant opportunity for a South Yorkshire-based creative from a refugee or asylum seeking background with lived experience of displacement.

This is a 2-month paid placement (2-5 days / week) with Sheffield Theatres to work as a Production Management Trainee. During the placement, the successful candidate will learn so much by:

  • joining Sheffield Theatres during the final stages of production for Twelfth Night,
  • gaining first-hand experience of the technical rehearsal process and opening in the Crucible Theatre;
  • following production of Singin’ in the Rain from the rehearsal room to opening night on the Crucible stage;
  • observing the early stages of other shows’ development and design processes, providing insight into the planning, collaboration and creative decision-making involved in bringing a production from initial concept to final realisation;
  • and so much more!

The deadline for applications is this Sunday 6 September, and the job description can be found here: www.sheffieldtheatres.co.uk/for-artists/current-opportunities/production-management-trainee-stage-door-programme
