North Lincolnshire has a population of approx 172,005 It lies on the south side of the Humber Estuary and consists mainly of agricultural land, including land on either side of the River Trent. There are six significant towns: Scunthorpe, Brigg, Haxey, Crowle, Epworth and Barton-upon-Humber.
