What this course is about:
In this module learners will gain confidence and develop their English language skills needed to plan for their future. They will be able to talk about themselves, their transferable skills, undertake planning activities for their next steps in jobseeking, and will explore a variety of options to help them continue to practice their English.
What other skills learners might gain:
* English: Listening, speaking, reading and writing, grammar, spelling
* Maths: numbers, dates, telling time, counting, ordinals and cardinals, telephone numbers
* Digital Skills: Researching on-line, recording progress.
* Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion: Ground rules, group and pair work, classroom safety and layout, learning stretch and challenge, additional learning opportunities
* British Values: Induction, negotiations, celebration of cultures, ground rules, role model
* Employability: Attendance and punctuality, completion of logbooks and homework,
* Safeguarding and Prevent: Induction, creating safe learning environment
What learners could do next:
After course completion, learners typically use their English language skills and confidence to transition into part-time or full-time employment, specialised employment training pathways, volunteering, or further education.
