ESOL for Job Applications

This is an English course for speakers of other languages (ESOL). The course aims to help learners gain confidence and develop basic language needed to be able to apply for job vacancies. Open to learners who are Entry 2 level or above; have a basic grasp of grammar and have speaking and listening skills to be able to hold a conversation. Learners will develop the vocabulary and skills to be able to identify personal skills, and qualities, complete a CV template and job application, prepare for an interview. learners may also learn how to send applications by email and ask for feedback. As well as learning the core vocabulary, reading, writing and speaking and listening skills, by working independently and in small groups with your tutor, you will also develop wider skills such as: u9679?tab Problem solving u9679?tab Team working u9679?tab Communication skills u9679?tab Study skills. u9679?tab Interview Skills How you will be taught, and your understanding checked : Your tutor will work with you to understand what your level of knowledge is before you start to ensure that you are working at the right level for your needs. They will agree a learning plan for you to work towards. The course will be a mixture of whole class teaching, independent activity and small group/pair work, all supported by your tutor. Your tutor will talk to you about your progress and you will give you feedback to help you to continue to develop your skills and knowledge. On successful completion of the core modules, your tutor will talk to you about your progress and achievements.
