About this opportunity
The Level 1 award in cybersecurity is a single‐unit, bite‐sized 6-credit qualification at learners aged 19+ with no prior entry requirements. Learners explore key concepts like cybercrime, routine online threat protection, vulnerability and penetration testing basics, and user access control. It forms a strong foundation in digital safety, ideal for both personal development and early career relevance. 7 hours per week

Calderdale College
Calderdale College is a Further Education College in Halifax. We are passionate about giving everybody the opportunity to gain basic skills to either study further, secure an apprenticeship or find a job. Aimed at students who don’t speak English as their first language our ESOL courses give you the skills you need to succeed. Employers look for basic English skills and this course is your first step into a brighter future. We will help you decide your next steps and make sure you have everything you need to succeed. We work with local community projects such as Calderdale Valley of Sanctuary whose aim is to bring together organisations across Calderdale to create a network of places that asylum seekers and refugees know to be welcoming and understanding of their situation.
