About this opportunity

Humans Being is running a seven-week art and wellbeing course for women with complex mental health needs at New Wortley Community Centre.

The course offers a supportive space to meet new people, build confidence and explore wellbeing through drawing, collage, zine-making, rock painting and other creative activities. No previous art or craft experience is needed.

Each Monday will include:

  • 10am–12pm: wellbeing session
  • 12–12.30pm: free lunch
  • 12.30–2.30pm: art and craft session

The course will be led by experienced facilitator Saphra Bennett. Participants will also be offered an introductory one-to-one telephone conversation to discuss anything that might help them feel comfortable taking part.
