About this class
What is this course about?This course helps you learn words to talk about your home and your local area. You will practice describing your house, asking for and giving directions, taking public transport, and reporting housing problems to a landlord.
What knowledge, skills and behaviours will you be developng?
You will learn knowledge of address details, house items, position words (in, on, next to), and local places. You will practice skills in reading maps, using bus timetables, and finding your way around, while building friendly, confident neighbourhood behaviours.
What you could do next.
After completing this course, you can join another ESOL module, such as Health and Wellbeing, to continue building your skills. You can use what you have learned to explore your local area, find places on a map, use community services (such as the library or One Stop Centre), and talk about local housing.
