About this class

This is an English language course for speakers of other languages (ESOL) and aims to improve confidence and development of functional language skills when communicating in social situations. Open to learners from Entry to Entry 3 level, learners will learn the vocabulary for, and be able to interact with, other people in social situations and participate in casual conversation. Learners will also learn how to talk about feelings and emotions and how to offer an opinion. Learners may also develop skills in agreeing and disagreeing politely as well as how to answer a range of questions. As well as learning the core vocabulary, reading, writing and speaking and listening skills, by working independently and in small groups with your tutor, you will also develop wider skills such as (add/amend as appropriate): ● Problem solving ● Team working ● Communication skills ● Study skills. ● Watch/research videos on small talk
