ESOL for Job Application

This is an English course for speakers of other languages (ESOL). The course aims to help learners gain confidence and develop basic language needed to be able to apply for job vacancies. Open to learners who are Entry 2 level or above; have a basic grasp of grammar and have speaking and listening skills to be able to hold a conversation. Learners will develop the vocabulary and skills to be able to identify personal skills, and qualities, complete a CV template and job application, prepare for an interview. Learners may also learn how to send applications by email and ask for feedback. As well as learning the core vocabulary, reading, writing and speaking and listening skills, by working independently and in small groups with your tutor, you will also develop wider skills such as: Problem solving, Team working, Communication skills Study skills and Online Job searching. At the end of your course your tutor will discuss your next steps with you, whether that be further developing your English language skills, require support in another area or feel ready to apply for jobs.
