Basic Literacy ESOL Course
This course is for: Asylum seekers and refugees living in Doncaster with ‘basic literacy needs’ – i.e. someone who has not yet reached Entry 1 and is learning the sub-skills or mechanics of reading and writing. They struggle to read and write a small number of key words, a very simple sentence or a very simple text independently. Their level in spoken communication may be higher than their literacy level. Classes will take place on either Tuesdays or Fridays TBC, at the Quaker Meeting House, Oxford Place, off St James Street, Doncaster. Classes will begin the week of 2nd September and run until the week of 16th December 2019, with a break for half term (the week of 28th October).
